About the role
Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care and support to an individual in Amherst, Ohio. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Provide medication reminders
- Support the client with mobility and safe transfers, when needed
- Encourage independence and participation in daily activities
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition
- Complete required care documentation accurately and on time
- Follow the client’s care plan and all company policies
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for the client to appointments, errands, and community activities when needed.
Requirements:
- Previous caregiving, DSP, home care, or related experience preferred
- Experience supporting seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Ability to work the full Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Location: Amherst, Ohio
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM–9:00 PM
