Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces
- Document resident progress, update care plans, and communicate effectively with team members about resident needs and changes
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings using appropriate safety procedures
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive and emotional well-being
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper manual handling techniques
- Strong understanding of resident’s rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Must be patient, compassionate, adaptable, and committed to providing high-quality care in a supportive manner
