Digital Media and Podcast Producer

About This Role

This role supports video production and serves as the day-to-day producer for the growing podcast work of the Indiana Historical Society’s (IHS) content studio.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire cycle of the podcast recording experience
• Edit audio and video
• Assist with complex studio and field shots
• Prepare media for all IHS platforms
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of video production, podcast recording, audio production, and editing software
• Ability to collaborate and communicate, especially with those with less media experience
• Ability to record and actively monitor clean audio
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as projects dictate, such as evenings and weekends
• Applicable degree or two years of applicable experience

• Physical requirements: Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds; bending, kneeling, and crouching to reach and pick up items; standing for long periods of time
