About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and govern product information within enterprise ecommerce platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness across the product catalog.
- Maintain product data standards, attribute structures, enrichment rules, and lifecycle processes to support scalable content management.
- Oversee taxonomy, category structures, product classifications, filters, and metadata to enhance searchability, navigation, and customer experience.
- Establish and maintain standards for product descriptions, titles, imagery, naming conventions, and digital content quality.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve content gaps, product readiness issues, taxonomy challenges, and asset requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address inconsistencies in product content, metadata, digital assets, and classification structures.
- Lead digital asset management (DAM) governance, ensuring proper metadata, asset compliance, approval workflows, and content readiness.
- Perform content quality assurance and pre-publication reviews to ensure product and website content meets established standards.
- Support localization efforts by coordinating content readiness for multiple regions and markets.
- Make minor HTML and content formatting updates within approved templates to support content presentation, accessibility, and SEO requirements.
- Collaborate with technology, ecommerce, and marketing teams on platform enhancements, workflow improvements, and content optimization initiatives.
- Monitor the impact of content structures and taxonomy decisions on ecommerce platform performance and scalability.
- Utilize analytics and reporting tools to identify opportunities for content improvement and enhanced digital performance.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with enterprise ecommerce platforms and product information management (PIM) or product content management processes.
- Experience managing product taxonomy, category structures, metadata, attributes, and content governance.
- Digital Asset Management (DAM) experience, including asset organization, metadata management, and content readiness processes.
- Strong understanding of product data quality standards, validation procedures, and content governance practices.
- Experience performing content quality assurance and pre-publication reviews.
- Ability to make basic HTML or markup adjustments within content management systems.
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working across technology, marketing, ecommerce, and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-language or multi-market ecommerce environments.
- Understanding of SEO best practices related to product content, taxonomy, and structured data.
- Experience within life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and integrated business platforms.
- Experience using web analytics and tag management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
