Digital Content Production Artist

About This Role

This role supports the production work behind Cricut’s new content library, a brand new category for the company. The artist will get models from artists into the library, ensure they work in the software and on machines, and maintain quality as volume scales. This position suits someone who enjoys figuring out unfamiliar processes and making them repeatable, taking ownership of their work, and communicating needs for process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day-to-day production work, keeping models moving through the pipeline and flagging what needs attention
• Partner with the software team to get models ingested and make sure files are compatible with Cricut software and machines
• Work with the QA lead to review models, confirm they process correctly, and make sure they meet quality standards
• Help define and document quality standards for this new content type
• Keep tracking systems current and accurate so the team always knows the status of every model in the pipeline
• Support taxonomy for all content types to support organization and search
• Build and document repeatable processes, then improve them as volume grows so the pipeline scales
• Use AI tools to speed up repetitive production work, and bring new ideas for where automation can replace manual steps
• Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate issues when tools or workflows change, and route them to the right person to unblock the work
• Support testing needs for new features or machine launches as assigned
• Submit clear bug reports and requests to help improve internal tools and processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to help the team scale over time

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and genuine pride in high-quality work
• A design eye, able to differentiate between technically working assets and those people want to use
• Scrappy and self-directed, preferring to dig into messy problems and propose systems rather than waiting for one to be handed over
• Comfortable owning a process end to end, including tracking, documentation, and follow-through
• Comfortable driving work forward with people who do not report to you, and following up until things are actually done
• Actively using AI tools in your own work and hungry to find more, reaching for automation first and able to articulate streamlined processes
• Comfortable learning new tools

Nice to have:

• Experience with CAD design tools (Fusion 360, Blender, Solid Works, Rhino, ZBrush, or similar)
