Diesel Mechanic

About This Role

Working carefully and keeping essential vehicles and equipment ready for the work ahead is the core of this job. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel engines and heavy machinery, using clear troubleshooting steps and sound mechanical judgment. By identifying faults and completing dependable repairs, you help operators and customers use their vehicles and equipment safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, alignment, and air brake systems
• Maintain and service excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, tractors, and other construction machinery
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and other mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Perform vehicle and equipment maintenance, tire service, assembly, fabrication, welding, and soldering as needed
• Use hand and power tools safely; operate heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting when required
