About the role
Role: Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of diesel and gasoline vehicles and heavy equipment at a park complex.
Key Duties: Perform skilled repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment including trucks, tractors, mowers, backhoes, and trail groomers. Conduct preventative maintenance, body repairs, tire and battery replacements, wiring repairs, fluid checks, and winterization. Maintain detailed records of all service activities.
Qualifications: Completion of a diesel and construction equipment mechanic trainee program or two years of journey-level mechanic experience, including diesel repair, or equivalent training/experience. Must hold active Pennsylvania Class 1, 4, or 7 Inspection Mechanic Certification and a Class C driver’s license.
Skills: Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills; ability to perform detailed record-keeping; knowledge of vehicle and equipment systems; teamwork and innovation orientation.
Additional Requirements: Ability to perform essential job functions, meet legal and residency criteria, and comply with employment and background checks. No telework options; work may include weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
