About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dialysis Technician to support inpatient dialysis services within an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong hemodialysis experience, proficiency with Tablo dialysis machines, and the ability to provide safe, high-quality patient care while working closely with nephrology and nursing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, operate, and monitor dialysis equipment and treatments.
  • Perform pre-treatment and post-treatment patient assessments within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis treatments and promptly report changes in condition.
  • Ensure proper setup, maintenance, and disinfection of dialysis equipment.
  • Document treatment data accurately and maintain patient records.
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Assist in maintaining dialysis supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the dialysis treatment process.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Dialysis Technician experience required.
  • 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Acute care inpatient dialysis experience required.
  • Candidates without acute care experience must have 5+ years of outpatient dialysis experience.
  • Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
  • Tablo dialysis machine experience required.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Active Washington State License required.
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required.
  • BLS Certification required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of hemodialysis procedures and equipment.
  • Experience monitoring patients during dialysis treatments.
  • Knowledge of infection control and dialysis safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
