Dialysis Technician

About This Role

This full-time position on a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient hemodialysis setting. The Dialysis Technician is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including direct patient care, technical operation of dialysis equipment, and adherence to clinical and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, operate, and monitor dialysis treatments using the Fresenius 2008K2 dialysis machine
• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-treatment patient care, including vital signs and patient observation
• Cannulate arteriovenous fistulas and grafts per established protocols
• Assist with central venous catheter care within scope and policy
• Respond appropriately to dialysis machine alarms and patient-related concerns
• Maintain strict infection control practices in accordance with clinic policy and regulatory standards
• Assist with water room duties and equipment disinfection as needed
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior dialysis experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates
• CCHT or BONENT certification preferred or willingness to obtain within required timeframe
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Reliable attendance and professional conduct

Important Details

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday; early morning hours provide late afternoon and evenings off; very rare Saturday or Sunday treatments
