Dialysis Registered Nurse

About This Role

The Dialysis Registered Nurse develops, implements, evaluates, and revises care plans for assigned patients and families, upholding the mission and values of Kentfield Healthcare. This role involves reviewing all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assessing their clinical status throughout treatment, consistently assisting team members in delivering acute hemodialysis according to established standards of care. Areas of practice include hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise a plan of care for assigned patients and families
• Promote the mission and values of Kentfield Healthcare
• Review all patients receiving dialysis therapy
• Assess clinical status throughout treatment
• Consistently assist team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing established standards of care
• Provide direct care and delegate and supervise all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act
• Demonstrate clinical competence
• Manage patient care
• Improve quality of care
• Establish professional relationships and utilize professional skills
• Fulfill responsibilities of the hospital role
• Develop clinical expertise per specialty

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips

Nice to have:

• Dialysis experience
• One year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care, or dialysis (nurse residency program accepted as experience)
