About the role
Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join an innovative cloud technology organization for a fully remote long-term contract opportunity. The DevOps Engineer will help create standardized deployment frameworks, automation solutions, and platform capabilities that enable development teams to efficiently launch and manage applications.
Responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer include:
- Design and maintain deployment pipelines, automation frameworks, and platform tooling.
- Build standardized development and deployment workflows that improve engineering productivity.
- Manage Kubernetes application deployment processes using GitOps and CI/CD methodologies.
- Partner with software engineering teams to improve platform adoption and operational consistency.
- Develop automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve platform scalability.
Qualifications for the DevOps Engineer include:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure automation.
- Previous software engineering experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or similar.
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes and deployment technologies including ArgoCD.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong communication skills with experience influencing technical direction across teams.
Compensation for the DevOps Engineer: Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000/year (USD)
