About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our talented team and play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure for our ID verification platform powered by Machine Learning. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our existing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and working closely with security and engineering teams to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will contribute to the development of next-generation platform features, streamline operational workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies and influence the future of our infrastructure and product offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud environments
- Production experience with AWS and Kubernetes
- Strong working knowledge of Terraform, Helm, Docker, and Git
- Experience supporting production applications in cloud environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, frameworks, and processes
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Programming skills in Python
- Good understanding of networking and security concepts/methodologies
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash) is a plus
- Knowledge of GitLab CI, Ansible, and Packer is advantageous
- Operational knowledge of Splunk or similar monitoring solutions
- Interest or experience in containerization and automation technologies
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and adapt to evolving requirements
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and improve existing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and scalability
- Design, build, and deploy infrastructure components for new platform features and services
- Automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Collaborate with security teams to implement security best practices, patch vulnerabilities, and monitor threats
- Provide tools, guidance, and support to engineering and product teams to improve system reliability and performance
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery workflows
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform, Helm, and other automation tools
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues
- Share knowledge and mentor team members to foster continuous learning and growth
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements
