Electrical Detailer
Ready to transition from the field into the office?
We're looking for an Electrical Detailer to join a growing Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team. This role is ideal for a commercial or industrial electrician who enjoys planning projects, solving problems, and wants to leverage their field experience in a preconstruction environment.
You'll work alongside the Electrical Planning Foreman and project teams to develop shop drawings, plan electrical installations, and help ensure projects are ready for successful field execution.
What You'll Do
✅ Review electrical drawings, specifications, and submittals
✅ Produce accurate, buildable shop drawings
✅ Read and verify wiring schematics
✅ Create installation details using Bluebeam
✅ Prepare schedules and worksheets using Excel
✅ Assist with planning electrical installation paths and material layouts
✅ Collaborate with project teams to support successful project execution
✅ Maintain accurate documentation while meeting project deadlines
What We're Looking For
✔ 2+ years of commercial or industrial electrical installation experience
✔ Licensed Journeyman Electrician or Electrical Apprentice
✔ Knowledge of BIM processes
✔ Experience with Bluebeam
✔ Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
✔ Basic working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
✔ Ability to read electrical plans, construction documents, and wiring schematics
✔ Strong understanding of commercial electrical installation and construction sequencing
