Senior Desktop Engineer

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Type: 6 Month Contract

Salary: 50/hr

We're looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to join a team responsible for managing and supporting endpoint technology across a large enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys endpoint management, automation, systems administration, and improving the tools and processes that keep users productive and secure.

You'll play a key role in managing Windows endpoints, software deployment, device compliance, and modern endpoint management technologies while helping mentor other engineers on the team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and support enterprise endpoint platforms and administration tools
• Create, deploy, and maintain software packages and operating system deployments
• Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune, and related endpoint management technologies
• Support device compliance, patch management, and endpoint security initiatives
• Build and maintain imaging and deployment task sequences
• Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint management issues across a large user base
• Partner with infrastructure, networking, and security teams on enterprise initiatives
• Evaluate and implement new endpoint management technologies and processes
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and scripting
• Assist with project planning, testing, upgrades, and platform enhancements
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other desktop engineers
• Support Active Directory and Group Policy administration

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of desktop engineering or enterprise desktop support experience
• 3+ years of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) administration
• Strong experience with software packaging, application deployment, and operating system deployment
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot
• Strong understanding of Windows endpoint management in enterprise environments
• Experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy
• Solid troubleshooting skills across desktop, network, and endpoint technologies
• Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Jamf administration experience
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• SQL knowledge
• Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-based endpoint environments
• Experience with enterprise security and compliance initiatives
