About This Role

Designing purposeful, functional, and beautiful spaces for clients is the core of this role, combining creativity and technical knowledge with business understanding. The Designer will bring together design excellence, technical rigor, and strategic thinking to deliver interior spaces that are both deeply functional and experientially rich, working within a highly collaborative, client-focused culture that values design quality, resilience, and social purpose. Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of the teams and actively foster a respectful, creative, and inspiring design environment
• Support interior design assignments that include interpreting client’s needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration services
• Collaborate with teammates on the selection and presentation of furniture systems, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting design
• Generate design with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup or other software, create digital 3D view to communicate design concepts
• Select interior finishes and develop reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
• Provide design and documentation support during completion and execution of design concepts
• Support communication with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
• Guide and mentor less experienced teammates
• Develop client relationship skills, management skills, and leadership skills
• Participate in business development events outside of the office to build client relationships and establish a design presence in the local market to help grow the firm’s business

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited program
• 3-6 years of relevant interior design and interior architecture experience within a commercial design firm
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience designing and delivering workplace interiors projects is preferred/required
• Pursuit of NCIDQ certification is preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship building skills
• Proficient with Revit
• LEED accreditation or WELL AP is preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices
