About This Role
Designing and modeling detailed 3D instrumentation for offshore oil and gas facilities is the primary focus of this role. It involves creating and updating various design and drafting deliverables while ensuring models comply with project specifications and engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D instrumentation models for offshore oil and gas facilities
- Prepare instrumentation design and drafting deliverables in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards
- Develop and update Instrument Location Layouts, Instrument Hook-Up Drawings, Instrument Installation Drawings, Cable Tray Layouts, Junction Box Layouts, Instrument Mounting Details, Analyzer Shelter Layouts, Control System Room Layouts, Marshalling Cabinet Layouts, and Instrument Support Drawings
- Perform 3D modeling of Pressure Instruments, Temperature Instruments, Flow Instruments, Level Instruments, Control Valves, Analyzer Systems, Fire & Gas Devices, Local Control Panels, Junction Boxes, Marshalling Cabinets, Instrument Supports, and Cable Routing Systems
- Ensure proper positioning of instruments considering accessibility, maintainability, operability, and safety requirements
- Coordinate instrument locations and installation details with piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, telecom, and HVAC disciplines
- Support development of cable tray and cable routing arrangements
- Participate in model reviews and interdisciplinary design coordination meetings
- Identify and resolve clashes involving instrumentation systems and associated supports
- Ensure instrumentation layouts comply with hazardous area requirements and project specifications
- Generate detailed construction and installation drawings from approved models
- Incorporate engineering comments, client comments, and project revisions into drawings and models
- Maintain model quality and consistency throughout the project lifecycle
- Support fabrication, construction, commissioning, and startup activities by resolving design-related queries
