Key responsibilities
- Develop and improve product designs according to project requirements
- Create and develop design concepts with consideration for functionality, cost, materials, and manufacturability
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate design functionality and performance
- Analyse test results and make necessary design improvements
- Monitor and manage design and production-related costs
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, specifications, test reports, and other technical documents
- Maintain proper records of design development throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet project and production requirements
Requirement
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred
- Must have AutoCAD experience
- Relevant experience in design engineering will be an advantage
- Good technical and problem-solving skills are preferred
