About This Role
This Design Director role involves partnering with design managers and team members to develop and elevate the creative vision and direction of the brand. The position oversees the concepting and production of creative retail output for store design, visual merchandising, e-commerce, and gifting. It suits a candidate with extensive design experience and a passion for beauty experiences.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Design Managers and team members to develop and elevate the creative vision and direction of the brand
- Oversee and direct the concepting and production of creative for retail output for store design and visual merchandising Ecom and gifting
- Collaborate, create and problem solve on the daily with our internal Creative team on all creative collateral and manage any future external creative partnerships
- Help develop brand look and feel thorough thoughtful briefs that clearly distill the ask of team members, while driving toward strong brand quality standards
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships to enable the smooth and timely execution of all creative projects from concept to completion
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in design with a deep understanding of branding and working with or on marketing teams
- At least 3 years of experience leading a design team across multiple design touchpoints
- Passion for Beauty Experiences
- Brand Vis-ID/Creative overview Mastery with leadership in Ecom Design Strategy through Execution
- Ability to translate deep consumer understanding into robust design systems that drive OLAY equity across online/offline touchpoints and meet key business objectives
- Superior visualization & communication skills to build out brand vision: setting overall strategy & enabling team to deliver of best-in-class Design execution
- Ability to successfully manage teams and creatives to deliver multiple projects in parallel end to end (concept through launch)
