Design Director

About This Role

As a Design Director, you will lead the design team at Goldbergh. You shape the team by determining how we work, who joins, and how we strengthen each collection. You ensure an inspiring, professional work environment and translate the brand's creative direction into clear briefings and concrete collection plans. A significant part of your role is to foster team growth by attracting, developing, and retaining talent while clearly defining roles and responsibilities. Additionally, you will set up and improve processes from concept and design to product development and handover to production. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure each collection is commercially strong and feasible. You will also monitor quality and deadlines within the collection calendar.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance
• Ensure each collection is commercially viable and feasible
• Monitor quality and deadlines within the collection calendar

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Design Director, Head of Design, or in a similar role with team and process management
• Proven experience in fashion, preferably in the premium or ski segment, with knowledge of collection building, materials, and product development
• Strong affinity for skiing and winter sports, understanding what winter sports enthusiasts expect from their clothing
• Strong leadership skills: inspire, provide clear direction, guide, and allow people to grow
• Combine a sharp creative eye with commercial insight and planning skills
• Strong communication skills, easily switching between creative teams and other departments
• Structured and hands-on approach, leading the organization through change
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
