Compensation:
- Annual Salary Range: Up to $85,000

Position Description:
This position serves on the OFPM leadership team and manages the day-to-day operations. This position is assigned the responsibility to plan, organize, and direct the staff and work activities.
The Deputy Director has responsibility for the four major mechanical and operation systems:
- Building Systems
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Steam Plant
Additional duties are as follows:
- Administers and directs with broad latitude decision making within the Facilities Management Section of OFPM, which provides mechanical and operations and maintenance of Building Systems, HVAC, Plumbing, and the Steam Plant on the Capitol Complex Campus. Provides direct supervision for a staff of supervisors. Interviews, recommends and evaluates employees and provides administrative direction to this part of the OFPM operation. Develops and implements plans with emphasis on performance based customer service; manages program budgets and makes unconstrained decisions regarding maintenance operations in meeting the needs of OFPM customers.
- Coordinates gathering of information to maintain and enhance the computerized maintenance management system that encompasses planning and scheduling, long range detailed life cycle planning for major building systems components, control reports, cost reports and files to provide for efficient operation of the maintenance section. Monitor complaints and approves service request received from the Capitol Complex, occupants concerning any type of building service problem or repair needed, through utilization of appropriate documentation and suspense actions in order to provide customer satisfaction and upkeep of all buildings concerned.
- Reviews and approves all billable service requests and billable projects at the first of each month to ensure all charges are deemed necessary and accurate based upon the service requested. Prepares the budget for the maintenance and building services sections to provide for uninterrupted service of building operations. Establishes rates for services provided.
- Participates in and directs a variety of departmental meetings in order to provide or obtain information on operational topics as they arise, to develop priorities and plans for major and minor facility improvements, to update staff/administration on projects and proposals, and to represent the needs of the division.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in building systems or trades management

- Previous supervisory/leadership experience
