**This position offers the ability to work remotely three days per week with a Flexible/Hybrid work schedule. **
This position performs significant research and analysis assignments related to various business tax laws administered by the Department of Treasury. This position gathers data and conducts studies to determine where gaps may exist. Consolidates data and prepares reports with recommendations for next steps to move entity into alignment. Oversees inventory and packing when an external entity executes an Order of Entry. This position provides consultation and coordination with Treasury’s Tax Compliance Bureau and with the Attorney General’s Office where appropriate. This position is responsible for researching, preparing, and recommending policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the work. This position may occasionally be called as a witness in legal proceedings or administrative hearings related to these functions.

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service. Work must be performed in the state of Michigan. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of the State of Michigan, you must commute to Michigan to perform the responsibilities and duties of this position at your official work location.
Remote Work**.** For State of Michigan residents, this position is eligible to work remotely on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and must work onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Additional onsite work may be required. The selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time. Please note that remote work is not available if the selected candidate resides outside of the State of Michigan..
