Leading and managing a team to ensure high-quality output, operational efficiency, and adherence to client specifications is the core of this role. The Production Manager guides the team toward excellence in productivity, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead by example, demonstrating Amrod's values and promoting a positive, productive team culture
Manage and supervise the production team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
Handle IR/HR-related challenges as and when required
Engage with and develop the team
Lead departments under your control to ensure targets are met within the given lead-time and at the quality standard set by the directors and management, and expected by customers
Manage and schedule work in accordance with the Production Plan
Ensure machinery and equipment is looked after by staff and any machine defects are logged on the E-works system timeously
Manage rejects according to set targets
Ensure teams are running as lean and efficiently as possible to meet daily deadlines and targets
Provide professional advice in the event that expectations are not met
Plan, select, develop, and maintain resources and capabilities
Guide and coach subordinates to maintain leadership skills in Amrod
Present new systems, process flows, and concepts to the team
Present information logically, accurately, and timeously
Spearhead and manage production/branding improvement processes
Maintain effective discipline in the department under your control
Ensure that safe practices are implemented and monitored on a continuous basis
Contribute to the success of the Production Department and the Company
Assist in any other areas of the business where your input and assistance is required
Maintain and report on team performance metrics
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement
Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, including senior management and team members
Develop and maintain dashboards or reports to visualize data and facilitate decision-making
Identify and address data quality issues to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports
Collaborate with other teams to gather and integrate data from multiple sources
Develop and implement reporting schedules and protocols to ensure timely and consistent reporting
Execute and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet Amrod's quality standards

Collaborate with the technical team to identify and resolve quality issues promptly
Improve efficiency and cost control
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction
Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards
Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality considerations are integrated into production planning and processes
Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting to track performance and identify areas for improvement
Ensure production team members are trained on quality control processes and procedures
Analyze production data and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor 5S in the department and keep machinery/equipment clean
Ensure machine breakdowns are reported accordingly on E-works
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies in the production area
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards or operational risks
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in production processes
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
Ensure proper storage and disposal of materials, supplies, and waste in accordance with company policies and regulations
Promote a culture of cleanliness and organization within the production team and recognize and address any deviations from expected standards
Communicate effectively with production staff, other departments, and management to ensure seamless workflow and resolve any issues that may arise
Be involved in production planning to meet customer deadlines and expectations
Ensure production team meets internal customer expectations for quality, quantity, and timeliness of products or services
Collaborate with internal customers to understand their needs and preferences and adjust production plans accordingly
Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues that could impact internal customer satisfaction
Provide regular updates and feedback to internal customers on production progress and any changes
Continuously seek opportunities to improve production processes and services to meet evolving internal customer needs
Requirements
National Diploma or Degree in Operations Management, Production Management or equivalent
Leadership and management training or certification (i.e. supervisory or junior management courses) is essential
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Proven leadership and management experience
Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, and productivity management principles
Good understanding of world-class branding methodologies, principles, and quality systems
Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OHS and labour relations
Good knowledge of information technology
