Demand Planner

About This Role

This role is for a commercially astute Demand Planner who will be integral to managing accurate forecasts and replenishment plans. The goal is to ensure optimal stock coverage to support customer needs and contribute to Australia's eCommerce future. The position offers the opportunity to provide feedback and shape the Demand Planning process.

Responsibilities

• Achieve forecast accuracy across all product lines by working closely with internal stakeholders on future demand
• Actively manage and monitor inventory levels to achieve company goals and KPIs, ensuring purchase orders are accurate and on time
• Be proactive and propose improvements to current processes, thinking critically, challenging yourself and others
• Ensure timely import of products and stock management to ensure an exceptional customer experience
• Understand and minimise logistics and warehousing costs by effectively analysing inventory levels and purchase orders’ shipment sizes and frequency
• Conduct regular demand analysis and audit to avoid potential stock outs and aged stock, taking corrective action where necessary
• Analyse performance of various product ranges and recommend actions to key stakeholders
• Ensure a minimal number of sold-out products, monitoring them and timely updating of prices, presale dates and stock levels
• Partner with Category Managers to ensure stock levels are sufficient, considering potential demand changes based on sales and/or promotional campaigns

Requirements

• University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business, Mathematics or similar)
• Experience within or exposure to Demand Planning or Inventory/Stock Control, preferably within a Retail, eCommerce or FMCG environment
• Highly analytical, logical and ready to delve into data, able to evaluate offers and products quickly to determine if they’re of value to customers
• Able to develop strong and effective relationships through excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A multi-tasker, able to juggle many tasks at once without dropping the ball
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
• Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity
• Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within a highly disruptive business model
• Must have full-time Australian working rights
