Delivery Manager

About This Role

This Delivery Manager role involves planning and delivering technology and digital projects for government and private sector clients. The successful candidate will manage projects and workstreams, working directly with clients and taking responsibility for completing tasks. It suits someone with prior delivery management experience, comfortable with client interaction and capable of independent project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, delivery plans, budgets, and priorities
• Coordinate work across technical teams, business stakeholders, and delivery partners
• Build strong client relationships and keep people informed about progress, decisions, and issues
• Manage risks and dependencies, resolve problems, and have difficult conversations when needed
• Ensure meetings lead to decisions, actions are followed through, and the team can proceed with work
• Get involved and help resolve problems rather than just tracking and reporting on them

Requirements

• Experience managing technology or digital projects, with examples of work you’ve taken responsibility for and delivered
• Organized and able to communicate clearly
• Comfortable working with both technical teams and senior client stakeholders
• Able to challenge unrealistic deadlines, work through competing priorities, and recognize when an issue needs to be escalated
• Must be based in Canberra
• Must be able to obtain a baseline security clearance

Nice to have:

• Experience with government clients and Agile delivery
• Understand enough about technology delivery to ask the right questions and work effectively with the team
