Working as part of the BCG X team, you will collaborate closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of advanced analytics topics. You will leverage analytical methodologies, subject matter expertise, and accelerated execution to deliver value to BCG's Consulting (case) teams and Practice Areas (domain). This role suits an AI Scientist who can provide technical support through a deep understanding of relevant data analytics tools and processes to build high-quality, efficient solutions.
Responsibilities
Deliver original analysis and insights to case teams, typically owning all or part of an analytics module
Establish credibility by thought partnering with case teams on analytics topics
Draw conclusions on a range of external and internal issues related to your module
Execute analytical approaches and create defined outcomes
Contribute to approach selection, focusing on problem-solving and client value aspects
Apply analytical, statistical, and programming skills, building models, creating algorithms, and using appropriate tools to discover knowledge from a variety of large and versatile data sources
Wrap the outcomes of analysis into ready-to-use software modules, minimal viable products, or dashboards
Train project and client teams on advanced analytics approaches in general, as well as on the use of tools and methodologies to increase the impact of their work
Communicate analytical insights through sophisticated synthesis and packaging of results (including PPT slides and charts)
Develop broad expertise in at least one analytics topic or platform
Provide strong analytical solutioning with hands-on experience in advanced delivery, through the entire life cycle of analytics
Develop and codify knowledge and provide analytical advice where required
Requirements
Fluency in either Python or R, including the ability to read, create, debug, and package code, and comfort using Pycharm, R-Studio, Visual Studio, or any other IDE
Fluency in Spanish and English
SQL scripting, with the ability to collect data from relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL)
Data wrangling with Python (Pandas) or R
Hands-on statistical inference using Python, R, and MS Excel extensions
Experience in data visualization and presentation using either Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, Dash, etc.
Self-learning and quick ramping in previously unfamiliar technological stacks if needed
Nice to have:
Experience in building scalable production-ready dashboards and web applications using Python or JS frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, React, Vue, Angular)
Experience with proprietary low-code data wrangling, predictive analytics, and modeling tools (e.g., Alteryx, Knime, Dataiku, SAS, SPSS)

Experience in GeoAnalytics using Python or specialized solutions
First experience in simulation modeling and optimization approaches (Operations Research / Linear Programming / Mixed Integer Programming)
Knowledge of dedicated optimization and simulation tools (AIMMS, LLamasoft, Gurobi, AnyLogic)
Experience with big data environments (Amazon Redshift, Hadoop/HIVE, Teradata)
Experience with collaboration tools and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, GitHub)
