Daycare Teacher

About This Role

This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of every child in the teacher's care. The Daycare Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers. A strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and experience working with children is essential to support the mission of providing high-quality early education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engaging daily lesson plans tailored to the developmental stages of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional growth
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety regulations
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving duties as needed for infants and toddlers
• Collaborate with team members to create inclusive activities that support children with disabilities or special needs
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards and company policies related to childcare

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
• Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, guardians, and team members
• Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude toward children of all ages
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• First aid certification preferred
• CPR training is a plus
