About This Role
This care worker position offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to choose your working days, shifts, and hours to fit your lifestyle. You will provide essential support to users in a day service setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist with serving and clearing meals, and provide support during mealtimes
- Provide assistance with excretion
- Assist with bathing
- Provide transfer and mobility assistance
- Assist with changing clothes, oral care, and hair styling
- Guide users to beds and assist with repositioning
- Monitor users and respond to nurse calls
- Record vital signs and care details
- Assist with recreational activities (depending on the facility)
- Change linens, clean, and manage supplies
Requirements
- Completion of one of the following: Introductory Training for Care Workers (Helper Level 2), Practical Training for Care Workers (Helper Level 1), or Certified Care Worker qualification
- If you do not have a qualification, at least six months of experience working in a facility is acceptable

Important Details
- Schedule: Shifts available from 2 days/week, 8 hours/day. Shortened hours and fixed days are negotiable.
- Example shifts: Early shift 7:00-16:00 (1 hour break), Day shift 9:00-18:00 (1 hour break), Late shift 11:00-20:00 (1 hour break), Night shift 16:00-10:00 (2 hour break)
- Days off: Weekdays only, day shifts only, fixed days, 2 days a week – please discuss your preferences
