About the role
Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for a Database Administrator to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure. This position will be located in Fort Meade, MD and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities The Database Administrator (Data Platform Engineer) establishes the data ingest and ELT environment required to transform autonomous pentesting outputs into structured, AI-ready datasets. This role designs schemas, metadata structures, and access controls; enables secure ingestion from the Horizon3.ai NodeZero platform; and ensures data integrity, performance, and scalability. Establishing this data foundation during IOC is critical to preserving high-quality, production-derived data that will support AI model training and analytics during follow-on implementation.
- Design and implement data ingest schemas and metadata structures
- Enable ELT pipelines from autonomous pentesting data sources
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and secure access controls
- Support data readiness for future AI training
Qualifications High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills And Experience
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI CI Poly
- 9+ years of experience with cloud data platforms, databases, or lakehouse architectures
- Familiarity with ELT workflows and large-scale data ingestion
- Experience managing secure data pipelines including automated ingestion and transformation workflows
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Sec+CE, SSCP, CND, CCNA Security, etc)
