Data Transformation Manager

About the Role
As an S/4HANA Data Transformation Manager – SD & PP, you will be responsible for supporting enterprise-wide ERP transformation initiatives by ensuring the successful preparation, migration, governance, and management of critical business data. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, implementation partners, and project teams to deliver high-quality data solutions across Sales, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Readiness & Transformation Support

• Lead and support data readiness initiatives to ensure successful ERP deployment preparation across multiple business locations.
• Coordinate and drive data preparation activities related to Sales, Distribution, Production Planning, and manufacturing business processes.
• Develop and maintain standardized data transformation methodologies, templates, tools, and best practices.
• Facilitate onboarding sessions, workshops, training programs, and alignment meetings for business users and data owners.
• Collaborate with implementation partners and project teams to finalize data designs, mappings, transformation rules, and migration deliverables.
• Coordinate data harmonization efforts across multiple business domains to ensure consistent and standardized master and transactional data.

Data Migration & Deployment

• Support end-to-end deployment activities, including data migration planning, execution, testing, cutover, and post-implementation support.
• Coordinate migration efforts between business stakeholders, project teams, technical resources, and external implementation partners.
• Support migration testing, mock conversions, validation cycles, reconciliation activities, and defect resolution processes.
• Monitor project milestones and ensure data migration activities are delivered according to project schedules.
• Identify migration risks, issues, and dependencies, driving timely resolution and escalation where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, quality standards, and documentation requirements.

Data Governance & Master Data Management

• Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise master data governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with master data management teams to establish sustainable governance processes and maintain high data quality standards.
• Coordinate change requests related to data models, governance processes, workflows, and data quality rules.
• Support ongoing master data maintenance, issue resolution, and service management activities.
• Ensure alignment between business requirements, governance standards, and enterprise data architecture principles.

Project Management & Process Excellence

• Develop deployment playbooks, process guides, and comprehensive toolkits to support repeatable and scalable implementation practices.
• Track project progress, quality metrics, risks, and key deliverables.
• Maintain complete and compliant project documentation throughout all deployment phases.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support process optimization initiatives.
• Document lessons learned and contribute to future deployment improvements.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to business users and data owners throughout transformation activities.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to automate data processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support adoption of emerging technologies, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning capabilities where applicable.
• Drive innovation initiatives that improve data quality, governance, and migration outcomes.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, data architects, and implementation partners.
• Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables.
• Collaborate with enterprise data management and architecture teams to support ongoing data strategy and governance initiatives.
• Provide regular updates, status reporting, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in ERP transformation, data migration, data management, or enterprise system implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) and Production Planning (PP) processes and related data structures.
• Experience with data migration methodologies, data cleansing, harmonization, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and business functions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or similar data governance platforms.
• Experience working on large-scale global ERP transformation programs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, order management, production planning, and sales operations processes.
• Understanding of data architecture, enterprise data models, and system integration concepts.
• Experience with data migration, transformation, and data quality tools.
