About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data professional to join our team in Japan. In this role, you will bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence by interpreting complex data, building robust data pipelines, and delivering actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize our data systems and drive data-informed decision-making across our product domains.
■ Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Interpret complex datasets, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing, comprehensive reports to the business.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret key trends, anomalies, or patterns in product domains within source data systems.
Data Infrastructure & Strategy
- Develop and implement scalable data collection, ETL pipelines, and analytics systems.
- Design and execute data strategies that optimize statistical efficiency, data quality, and system reliability.
- Extract data from various disparate sources, then properly clean, transform, and structure it to support evolving business requirements.
■Requirements
Experience & Technical Skills

5+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or data infrastructure.

Strong expertise in Data Systems & Architecture:

Hands-on experience with databases and data systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra).

Experience with real-time streaming and message brokers (e.g., Kafka).

Proven track record in report generation and building robust ETL pipelines.

Proficiency in Programming Languages:

Core development skills in Python, Java, or Scala.

Language & Communication

Business-level English with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical stakeholders from multiple disciplines.
