Data Business Partner

About This Role

Working as a Data Business Partner, you will engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs, collect and analyze requirements, and lead data projects that deliver actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. This role serves as a liaison between the Data Engineering, UI, and ML teams and various business units, ensuring alignment between business objectives and data initiatives. You will play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture, promoting the use of analytics, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis
• Communicate the value of data and analytics to various business units and promote a data-driven culture
• Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's data strategy
• Identify opportunities for leveraging data to achieve business objectives
• Collaborate with Data/ML Engineers and UI Developers to prioritize and plan data projects
• Work closely with ML Engineers, WWD business partners, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements
• Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed about project progress, challenges, and results
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements for data projects
• Conduct thorough analysis to understand the underlying business problems and objectives
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the data analytics team
• Lead and manage data projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and manage project timelines
• Monitor project progress, address any issues, and ensure successful project completion

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in Data Engineering
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Lead, Data Engineer, ML Engineer, Analyst or in a similar role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Strong understanding of business processes and objectives
• Ability to translate business needs into data requirements and actionable insights
• Strong understanding of data, data modeling, and the value data can bring to business decisions
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
• Ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets
