About This Role
This Data Architect position is a hands-on technical role that bridges business strategy and data engineering. You will work closely with Data Delivery Leads and Data Engineers to build and ship high-performance data products on time, diving deep into code to unblock engineers, optimize data pipelines, and ensure seamless supply chain logistics.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the hands-on lead resolving technical blockers across Python, SQL, Snowflake, and dbt pipelines
- Perform GitHub PR reviews to enforce testing, quality, and platform standards
- Ensure all engineering aligns with modern cloud data warehousing and orchestration standards (Airflow / GKE)
- Deliver high-impact datasets for core metrics (OTIF, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory) sourced from SAP, Kinaxis, and WMS/TMS tools
- Manage sprint backlogs, project timelines, internal engineers, and third-party consultants across concurrent initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field
- 4+ years total in Data Engineering & Data Architecting
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow
- Hands-on experience creating ERDs and DFDs
- Data Warehouse experience (Snowflake preferred)
Nice to have:
- Background in Consumer Packaged Goods or high-volume retail/logistics environments
- Exposure to automated testing tools like Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, or dbt tests
- Experience using Lucid
