Data Analyst - Spreadsheet Specialist

About This Role

This contract role is for a Data Analyst and Spreadsheet Specialist who will create high-quality training data for advanced AI models by completing and narrating real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on a Mac. The position involves working independently to improve cutting-edge AI models and providing clear explanations of reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
• Utilize advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets for pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, and financial or operational models
• Work independently to benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models
• Provide clear explanations of your reasoning while working to enhance model outputs
• Maintain a structured approach to responsibilities without the high pressure of internships or full-time consulting roles

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience or current enrollment in a postgraduate program in a quantitative field
• Ownership of a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Numbers, and/or Google Sheets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with SQL, Python/R, or BI tools like Tableau or Power BI
