Job Description Role: Cytotechnologist

Responsibilities: Screen and report gynecological and non-gynecological cytology cases, identify and refer abnormal findings, perform quality control, assist in training students, and participate in lab activities such as digital image analysis, FISH techniques, and tissue review. Serve on the Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) team for onsite adequacy evaluation and provide technical support during staffing shortages. Contribute to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and special projects.

Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology or an accredited program.

Certification as Cytologist (CT, ASCP) or Specialist in Cytology (SCT, ASCP).

Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Strong communication skills, ability to prioritize, and adapt to changing work volumes.

Skills assessment test required; ongoing certification maintenance needed if obtained after specified dates.

Additional Details: Full-time position with benefits, requiring a 2-year tenure before internal transfer eligibility. No visa sponsorship or F-1 STEM OPT extension participation. International candidates must provide credential evaluations. Compensation ranges from $35.45 to $53.15/hour. Work schedule includes weekdays with rotating Sunday coverage. Location options include multiple campuses; international assignments are not available.
