About This Role
This cybersecurity professional role involves protecting digital assets, strengthening organizational security, and supporting regulatory compliance. The position suits a qualified and experienced individual eager to join a growing team in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits
- Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) engagements
- Implement and assess cybersecurity controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and SOC 2
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and support compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA)
- Assist with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability remediation
- Prepare cybersecurity assessment reports, compliance documentation, and risk registers
- Participate in client engagements, cybersecurity awareness training, and technical presentations
- Support the delivery of cybersecurity advisory and consulting projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional cybersecurity experience
- Good understanding of information security principles, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management
- Practical knowledge of security assessment methodologies and cybersecurity tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
Professional Certifications:
- At least one relevant cybersecurity certification
Preferred certifications include:
- CompTIA Security+
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- CISM – Certified Information Security Manager
- CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor
Equivalent recognized cybersecurity certifications may also be considered.
Nice to have:
- Experience in cybersecurity consulting or managed security services
- Knowledge of NDPC regulatory requirements and Nigerian data protection compliance
- Familiarity with SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and GRC platforms
- Experience conducting IT audits, compliance assessments, and client presentations
