Cybersecurity Analyst

About This Role

This cybersecurity analyst role is critical for protecting ATCO's digital environment, people, customers, assets, and operations. It involves working across IT and Operational Technology environments to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats, while also contributing to the maturity of the company's cybersecurity capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts, threats, and incidents across ATCO's technology environment
• Conduct threat hunting and leverage threat intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging cyber risks
• Support vulnerability management, remediation activities, and incident root cause analysis
• Maintain accurate incident documentation and contribute to post-incident reviews, audits, and compliance activities
• Collaborate with IT, OT, Risk, and business teams to strengthen security awareness, processes, controls, and monitoring capabilities

Requirements

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline
• 5+ years' cybersecurity experience, including Security Operations Centre (SOC), Incident Response, or similar operational security roles
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and practices, including AESCSF, NIST CSF, Essential Eight, ASD ACSC guidance, and ITIL
• Hands-on experience in security incident detection, investigation and response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment activities
• Experience administering security technologies such as Endpoint Protection, IAM, PAM, IGA, and Vulnerability Management platforms
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to audits, compliance activities, and IT/OT, critical infrastructure, utility, or energy environments highly regarded
