SUMMARY : RSU 2 is looking for a dependable and caring individual to join our team of Custodians. In this role, you’ll play an important part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space where our students and staff can learn and thrive each day. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a positive difference behind the scenes, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsiblities/Qualifications
- Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
- Restock supplies as needed
- Perform light maintenance and report any repair needs
- Ensure building is secure at the end of shift
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred
- High school diploma or HiSET
Certification
- State of Maine Criminal History Records Check
- Certification of good health by a licensed physician
- Valid Maine Driver’s License
START DATE: Immediately
SALARY based on the 2026-2027 wage scale: $20.50 (step 1) to $23.10 (step 4) of the
Custodian-Driver & Nutrition Worker Collective Bargaining Agreement 24-27
