Custodial Worker

The Custodial Worker is a full-time staff member of University Housing who is responsible for the quality of living in a designated residence hall(s) at the University of South Carolina.
Primary duties
- Maintains wood, ceramic tile, cement, brick, and linoleum floors
- Responds to emergencies to include extracting water from floors and carpeted areas during flooding in order to prevent water damage
- Assists with the preparation for and clean-up of University special events
- Applies total quality management/continuous improvement principles and processes
This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.
This position does have access to state benefits such as retirement and medical insurance.

- 1 year related experience or equivalency.
