About the role
The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and providing a supportive patient experience. They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure. Key duties include preparing patients, explaining procedures using AIDET, ensuring patient comfort and safety, administering contrast agents, and reviewing images for diagnostic quality. The role requires obtaining clinical history, verifying orders, maintaining equipment, and documenting procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems. Technologists must respond to emergencies, support department operations, and uphold infection control standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year radiology experience
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association)
