About the role
Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and providing a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital . Technologists are vital members of a collaborative care team, applying their expertise to perform CT procedures following department guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently, ensuring diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, disinfect rooms, and report issues promptly.
- Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using clear communication techniques (AIDET).
- Perform exams, administer contrast agents, and position patients appropriately, ensuring imaging accuracy.
- Review images for diagnostic acceptability, document procedures accurately, and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support department operations, including stocking and patient transport.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 1 year of radiology experience.
- Certifications in ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), and BLS from the American Heart Association.
