About the role
The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Cobb Hospital . They operate imaging equipment independently, capturing diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols (ALARA), and maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality. Key duties include obtaining patient history, verifying orders, explaining procedures using AIDET, and ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety. The technologist performs exams, administers contrast agents when necessary, and reviews images for diagnostic quality, making adjustments as needed. Accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and timely image release are essential. They monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, organize workflows, support department operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications Include
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year radiology experience
- ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS certifications
