About the role
Position Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team. They perform CT procedures according to departmental guidelines, operate imaging equipment independently, and ensure diagnostic accuracy while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and dose reduction.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Obtain patient history, verify orders, and explain procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy; administer contrast and assist with patient positioning.
- Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat as necessary, and document accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and manage supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate workflows, support operational compliance, and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).
