The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in a collaborative healthcare setting.
They operate imaging equipment independently, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostics, while following infection control protocols.
Key duties include obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures using AIDET, administering contrast agents when necessary, and positioning patients correctly.
They review images for diagnostic quality, document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, and respond to emergencies.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 1 year of radiology experience, and certifications such as ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
Skills required encompass technical proficiency in imaging, patient communication, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and efficient workflow organization.
Additional responsibilities involve equipment maintenance, supporting department operations, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
