About the role
Role: CT Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality, safe imaging procedures and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans following department protocols, capturing diagnostic images with expertise.
- Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, report issues promptly.
- Obtain patient history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety and comfort using clear communication (AIDET).
- Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply safety measures like shielding.
- Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS.
- Respond to emergencies, monitor patient condition, and support department operations, including equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum one year of radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT - R (Radiography), ARRT - CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
