About the role
Role Overview: The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. They are integral members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures according to department guidelines, operating imaging equipment independently, and adjusting techniques to ensure diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams, obtain clinical history, and verify patient information.
- Explain procedures clearly, ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Administer contrast and position patients correctly, using sterile techniques when needed.
- Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as necessary, and document accurately in RIS/PACS.
- Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control protocols, and report issues promptly.
- Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and support operational workflows.
- Support compliance, organize daily tasks, transport patients safely, and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 1 year of radiology experience.
- Certifications: ARRT in Radiography and CT, BLS from the American Heart Association.
