Role: CT Technologist supporting a floating imaging team across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams following physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, obtain history, and screen for contraindications.
- Communicate procedures empathetically using AIDET, and assist with patient positioning and mobility.
- Establish IV access, administer contrast media, monitor for adverse reactions, and escalate concerns when needed.
- Operate CT scanners and injectors safely, ensuring optimal imaging while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and involve physicians as necessary.
- Accurately document procedures, manage RIS/PACS, perform quality control, and support daily operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 2 years of hospital-based radiologic and CT experience.
- Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS.
- Strong communication, technical proficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
