About the role
Role: CT Technologist supporting a mobile imaging team across multiple facilities, delivering safe and high-quality CT scans while providing compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams according to physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, gather history, and screen for contraindications, including contrast risks.
- Communicate procedures effectively using AIDET, demonstrating empathy and confidence.
- Prepare, position, and assist patients with mobility and immobilization as needed.
- Establish IV access, administer contrast media safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate CT scanners and injectors, ensuring accurate imaging and dose optimization (ALARA).
- Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and collaborate with physicians.
- Complete accurate documentation, including RIS, PACS, and logs.
- Perform QC checks, calibration, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Support daily operations, maintain equipment, and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- At least 2 years of hospital radiologic technologist experience, including 2 years in CT.
- Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS (American Heart Association).
