About the role
Role Overview: A CT Technologist supporting a floating imaging team across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality, safe imaging services and ensuring a supportive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT exams according to physician orders, protocols, and safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, obtain history, and screen for contraindications.
- Explain procedures with empathy, assist with patient positioning, and ensure safe transfers.
- Establish IV access, administer contrast media, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate CT scanners and injectors, optimize images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings, and involve physicians as needed.
- Accurately document procedures, manage RIS, PACS, and logs.
- Perform quality control checks, calibrations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support daily operations, keep equipment maintained, and participate in on-call duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum 2 years of hospital radiologic technologist experience, including CT.
- Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS from the American Heart Association.
