About the role
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using CT equipment, ensuring high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Include
- Operating CT equipment and related systems to produce clear, accurate images
- Properly identifying patients, verifying orders, and preparing patients for exams
- Reviewing images for quality and accuracy, ensuring all anatomical areas are captured
- Maintaining radiation safety standards and a safe environment for patients and staff
- Completing studies efficiently without compromising care or quality
- Providing patient education, ensuring comfort, and addressing concerns
- Coordinating care and communicating findings to other healthcare providers
- Staying current with advancements in CT technology through ongoing education
- Assisting and instructing students and colleagues on procedures and equipment
Qualifications Include
- Current ARRT (R) certification, with preferred CT specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- State licensure as applicable
- For Level II, at least 3 years of CT experience and knowledge of anatomy and radiation safety
- Additional certifications like fluoroscopy may be preferred
