About the role
Duration: 9 weeks
Schedule: 2 days/week, 8 hours/day, 16 hours/week
Job Description:
- Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Uses the correct kV and mA settings to produce quality CT images.
- Performs daily equipment calibration and quality checks before patient scans.
- Administers radiopharmaceuticals/contrast agents as ordered and per protocol.
- Complete all required documentation, logs, charges, and equipment reports.
- Performs quality and safety checks and follows radiation safety/ALARA guidelines.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of CT experience
Education:
- Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology
Skillsets:
- Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.
Additional Qualifications:
- Licenses: New York State License (L.R.T)
- Certifications: Requirements include licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist, ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification.
- Shift Hours: Saturday – Sunday, 11pm to 7am
